Hello, I'm Emmanuella.

I was born in London and grew up in Sierra Leone. Since then I've lived and worked in the USA, South Korea and Germany – and every move meant finding my way in a new culture, and often in a new language.

That's exactly what I bring to my lessons: I know how it feels when you understand everything but the right words just don't come. And I know how much confidence it gives you when they finally do.

Today I live with my family in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel.

How I teach

Patient, structured and practical. We work with real situations from your life – not textbook dialogues. Mistakes are welcome, because that's how we learn. And because I speak fluent German, I can explain in German whenever it helps.
